Medusa was a beautiful woman who wanted to become priestess of Athena's temple.  Athena was jealous of her so when Medusa reached her temple to escape from Poseidon, she received no help from the goddess so she was raped by Poseidon. Then she was turned into a giant snake but half part of her body was still human and her hair was replaced by snakes. She could transform people into stone with a glance. Person's name,time, period, place: Mary Stuart was born in Scotland on the 8th December 1542 and died in England the 8th February 1587. Personal Background:  She was the only surviving legitimate child of king James V who died when she was six days old. She acceded to the throne at six days old while her mother Marie de Guise ruled as regent of Scotland. When she was sixteen years old she married the Dauphin of France Francis II and a year later she became queen consort of France until the death of her husband in 1560. Years later she married her cousin Lord Darnley from whom she had her only son, James VI.  When her second husband was murdered, she married Lord Bothwell who forced her to abdicate. In Fabruary 2001 she went on her first field visit and later she donate 1 million dollars to an international emergency appeal. Over the next decade she went on more than 40 fields missions in over 30 countries. In 2012 she launched a campaign to prevent sexual violence and nowadays she's fighting for women's rights, education and equality.

NEW YORK IS BACK After 11th September of 2001, New York started to loose tourists, but two months later The Big Apple was already on its way to rise. In fact it started a sort of general movement among NYC's attractions and shops to attract tourists. For example a lot of attractions decided to stay open during all Christmas holidays and a lot of shops offered reductions even on the days right before Christmas.  This economic rise was seen as a demonstration of strenght even in the hardest of time.

In Britain tattoos used to be seen mainly on sailors, prisoners and bikers and they were considered a sign of being a rebel. Nowadays they are popular with all kinds of people and it's pretty normal to have a tattoo. The most popular tattoos are names of loved ones, Chinese and Japanese characters, stars and flower. There are also annual tattoos events that attract thousands of visitors, such as the International Tattoo Convention. Tattoos are not just for the young. Many people are now going to get their first tattoos in theirs 40s, 50s, or 60s. At these events you can get a tattoo done or see human bodies completelyt covered in tattoos.

Snapchat is an image messaging and multimedia mobile application created by Evan Spiegel, Bobby Murphy and Reggie Brown who where former students at Stanford University. They wanted to create a selfie app which allowed users to share images that were explicitly short-lived. The app was launched in September 2011; in 2016 the app achieved almost 10 million daily active users only in the UK.

Every country has his own traditions,and also his superstitions. There are a lot of superstitions related to presents. For example: Scissor or knives should never be given as a wedding gift as this is believed to lead to a broken marriage; Wine for the new owner would be to signify the years of retirement to come and to savor the sweetness of the life; It is bad luck to give an umbrella as a gift. If you open it inside,you will have bad luck because the umbrella is like a shield and the positive things can't come in.

If I could be anywhere,I'd like to live in London. London offers a lot of facilities,such as cinemas,museums,swimming pools,big shops and restaurants,but live there is very expensive. Two weeks ago I've been in Tenerife,Canarian Islands. It's a very beautiful place. There are a lot of beautiful beaches,it offers a lot of facilities,everything's cheaper than here and people are friendly. There's only one negative thing: the climate's always hot.

But if you go to Harrods you have to respect some rules:you can't wear flip flops,long shorts,ripped jeans and you can't bring bags. I think that Harrods is a very beautiful store because you can find everything you need,but it is too expensive.

Black History Month is an annual celebration to remember about the important events and people of African's history. In the U.S. the Black History Month is on February. This month was chosen because it's Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass birthdays. It is celebrate to commemorate what African Americans have done for the U.S.

                                                         JUDAISM Judaism is one of the world oldest religions. It is a monotheist religion. The most important sacred text  is the Torah.   For Jewish their religion is life. They celebrate "bar mitzvahs" to commemorate what God has done for people.
