NEW YORK IS BACK After 11th September of 2001, New York started to loose tourists, but two months later The Big Apple was already on its way to rise. In fact it started a sort of general movement among NYC's attractions and shops to attract tourists. For example a lot of attractions decided to stay open during all Christmas holidays and a lot of shops offered reductions even on the days right before Christmas. This economic rise was seen as a demonstration of strenght even in the hardest of time.
Medusa was a beautiful woman who wanted to become priestess of Athena's temple. Athena was jealous of her so when Medusa reached her temple to escape from Poseidon, she received no help from the goddess so she was raped by Poseidon. Then she was turned into a giant snake but half part of her body was still human and her hair was replaced by snakes. She could transform people into stone with a glance. Person's name,time, period, place: Mary Stuart was born in Scotland on the 8th December 1542 and died in England the 8th February 1587. Personal Background: She was the only surviving legitimate child of king James V who died when she was six days old. She acceded to the throne at six days old while her mother Marie de Guise ruled as regent of Scotland. When she was sixteen years old she married the Dauphin of France Francis II and a year later she became queen consort of France until the death of her husband in 1560. Years later she married her cousin Lord Darnley from whom she had her only son, James VI. When her second husband was murdered, she married Lord Bothwell who forced her to abdicate. Personal Traits: Mary Stuart was a very strong queen who ruled her reign with determination, courage and power. She was also a loving mother.
