NEW YORK IS BACK After 11th September of 2001, New York started to loose tourists, but two months later The Big Apple was already on its way to rise. In fact it started a sort of general movement among NYC's attractions and shops to attract tourists. For example a lot of attractions decided to stay open during all Christmas holidays and a lot of shops offered reductions even on the days right before Christmas.  This economic rise was seen as a demonstration of strenght even in the hardest of time.

The men are tall and slim. Two of them have got long hair and beard. The first man on the left wears a blue suit;the next two wear a black suit with a white shirt; the last man wears a white suit, I've chosen this picture because The Beatles is my favourite group. The atmosphere is peaceful and I like this pictures because it makes me think of a sunny day.

The Holocaust

Immagine
In this pic there are some Jewish survivors of Auschwitz. I've chosen this pic because it shows us the conditions in which they lived. I've chosen this one because the slow pace recalls pain. Quote:  “Monsters exist, but they are too few in number to be truly dangerous. More dangerous are the common men, the functionaries ready to believe and to act without asking questions.”   ―  Primo Levi This quote makes you understand the cruelty and the ignorance of these men who were ready to kill millions of people without a reason.

SUPERSTITIONS RELATED TO PRESENTS.

Every country has his own traditions, and also his superstitions. There are a lot of superstitions related to presents. For example: Scissor or knives should never be given as a wedding gift as this is believed to lead to a broken marriage; Wine for the new owner would be to signify the years of retirement to come and to savor the sweetness of the life; It is bad luck to give an umbrella as a gift. If you open it inside, you will have bad luck because the umbrella is like a shield and the positive things can't come in.
